Winds were only gentle and from the southwest.  Thin fog early this morning dissipated by mid-morning after low temperatures in the low to mid 30's in the surrounding countryside but in the mid-40's here atop Blue Hill as a result of a temperature  inversion which developed overnight.      Today's observations:   7 A.M.
