LIGHT SNOWFALL EARLY SATURDAY CHANGES TO RAIN BY MID-MORNING...

5TH WETTEST ON RECORD...
A total of 1.3 inches of new snow was measured on the snowboards
at 7 AM with a liquid equivalent of 0.14 inch.  The six hours 
ending at 1 PM today brought an additional 0.20 melted precipitation
including snow and rain, and 1.9 inches of snowfall.  The storm
totals through 1 PM are 0.34 inch and 3.2 inches of snow.  Rain
began to mix with the snow at 9:30 AM. Most of the precipitation
had ended by 12:45 PM, but additional showers may occur this 
afternoon.  February 2008 precipitation was 8.17 inches, making
this the 3rd wettest on record.  Also, the winter (Dec-Feb) 
precipitation total of 18.98 inches was the 5th highest total for
any winter on our 123-year record.  Both the winter and February
were warmer than average, but the three months were unusually 
close in average temperature.  Dec, Jan, and Feb averaged 29.7,
30.3, and 30.0, and the winter mean was 30.0 deg F.
