RECORD DAILY PRECIPITATION YESTERDAY
Total precipitation for the day yesterday was 2.80 inches
surpassing the previous record of 1.90 inches for the date
set in 1966. This is also one of the greatest calendar day
rainfall totals for any day in February.  
 
The total precipitation for the February 12-13 event was
3.07 inches with periods of very heavy rain occurring
yesterday afternoon. The 4:00 - 5:00 PM EDT hour yesterday
brought 0.88 inches of rain.  Nothing remains of the 3.0
inches of snow that fell late on 2/12 and early 2/13 after
temperatures reached a high of 53 degrees yesterday afternoon.
