NEAR NORMAL TEMPERATURES OVER THE PAST WEEK BUT
OCTOBER STILL AVERAGES OVER 5 DEGREES ON THE WARM SIDE
PRECIPITATION CONTINUES TO FALL SHORT OF NORMAL THIS MONTH
 
The monthly temperature average is still more than 5 
degrees on the warm side of normal; that's because
the first week was so unseasonably warm.  Maximum 
temperatures for the past seven days have remained in
an unusually narrow range of 5 degrees between 57 and
62 degrees and today will also now be included in that 
same range. 
 
Despite six days in a row with measurable precipitation
totaling 1.23 inches this month we still find that 
the month is coming up three-quarters of an inch drier
than average to date.  The year is approaching 5.5 inches
below normal.
