MODERATING TEMPERATURES TODAY UNDER SUNNY SKIES
EASTER SUNDAY WAS PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY, COLD AND WINDY
FIRST 8 DAYS OF APRIL MUCH COLDER THAN EARLY JANUARY
  
   A moderating trend away from the much below normal 
temperatures of the past several days is taking place 
today under sunny skies.  The morning low temperature
was 5 degrees less cold than yesterday morning but still
5 degrees colder than normal. By early this afternoon our
high temperature had already reached the upper 40's, the 
warmest it's been since 59 degrees on April 1st. 
   Easter Sunday was cold and windy but with a bit more 
sunshine than expected at 79%.  The day was 11 degrees 
colder than normal with an afternoon high of only 40 
degrees; normal is now 53.  Peak wind gusts reached 44 MPH 
from the west.  
   The first 8 days of April have averaged 7 degrees colder
than normal at 35.6 as compared to the average of 45.4 degrees
for the first 8 days of January which averaged 18.8 degrees 
warmer than normal.
