VERY DENSE FOG EARLY AGAIN EARLY THIS MORNING WITH ZERO VISIBILITY EARLY OCTOBER TEMPERATURES CONTINUE UNUSUALLY WARM--NOW +7 DEGREES TEMPERATURE UP TO 76 DEGREES EARLY THIS AFTERNOON The fog was extremely dense at the summit again this morning with a ceiling of 100 feet and zero visibility between 7 and 7:45 a.m. Then, briefly an undercast condition was observed with the top of stratus layer drifting over the summit before we again fogged in with zero visibility and the sun shining dimly through the dense fog after 8 a.m. Yesterday was the second consecutive day with our temperatures averaging 9 degrees warmer than normal and bringing the average for the first four days up to 7 degrees above than normal. Early this afternoon the high temperature had reached 78 degrees; the normal high is now 64 degrees... TODAY'S OBSERVATIONS.... 8 A.M. dense fog with 1/8 mile visibility and 1/16 mile to east through south and an undercast condition with top of this stratus layer drifting over the summit and fog obscuring about 3/10 of the sky but conditions quite variable down to zero visibility during the past hour... temp./dewpoint 58; wind wsw at 07 mph; six hourly min. temp. 56 deg.
