PARTLY SUNNY AND COOL WEATHER TODAY...
JULY SLIGHTLY WARMER AND DRIER THAN NORMAL...
A distinct band a cirrostratus associated with an old front
offshore covered much of the sky this morning, and this has
gradually moved to the southeast during the day.  The air has
also become somewhat drier this afternoon with the dew point
dropping into the mid-50s. The temperature departure for the
month stands at +17 degrees, or barely 0.5 degree above normal
per day.  Rainfall for July of 2.72 inches is less than one inch
below normal.  The highest wind gust for the month of 39 mph,
NNE on the 8th occurred during the offshore passage of the
extra-tropical remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy.
