A four day stretch of milder than normal temperatures ended yesterday as temperatures fell from an early morning maximum of 44 degrees to 32 degrees by midnight along with gusty NNE veering to NE winds. There was no sunshine recorded for Sunday. Wind gusts exceeded 40 MPH during with the strongest gusts during the early morning hours. Our official 420C wind recorder registered a peak of 46 MPH NNE at 8:26 a.m. Aerovane peaked at 44 MPH NNE around the same time while ASOS recorded 40 MPH NNE at 3:09 A.M. Cold northeast winds continue today although not nearly as gusty as yesterday but skies cleared this morning allowing for lots of bright sunshine. The temperature is struggling to reach even 40 degrees early this afternoon with the normal high for this date at 49 degrees.
