BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02186 MONDAY APRIL 04 2003 TODAY'S DISCUSSION AT 1 P.M. Snowfall for the day measures 0.4 inch through 1 p.m. while today's high temperature was 34 degrees very early this morning and the low of 28 has occurred several times since 7 a.m. A thin coating of glaze is observed from light freezing drizzle that continues to occur along with the light snow grains early this afternoon. Northeast winds have occasionally been gusting past 30 MPH. The high temperature since 7 a.m. is 29.3 degrees occurring at 9:09 a.m. this morning. Eastern Daylight Time begins early Sunday morning but our observations continue on Eastern Standard Time here at the Observatory and thus the 7 a.m. ob becomes the 8 a.m. EDT ob, the 10 a.m. becomes the 11 a.m. ob, etc. Confusing?. Well, at first, but we get used to it every year! For the scientific record we remain strictly on standard time.
