DISCUSSION FOR 10/6/2002

It looks like our streak of 6 consecutive above normal days, with respect
to temperature, are in jeopardy as today looks to be cooler than normal.
Currently, at 11 AM, we remain at 58F degrees, indicating that our
temperature isn't climbing very much. Also, the wind is certainly making it
feel cooler outside as we are consistently receiving gusts of over 20 MPH.

The thin smoke layer that hovered over the horizon this morning has lifted
since 8 A.M. Visibility here at the Hill is 60 miles under partly sunny
skies. Puffy cumulus dominate the sky and are relatively low, only at about
4500ft from sea level.

A little side note, the pressure today is higher than normal, currently at
29.65in Hg and rising rapidly.
