LIGHT SNOW ON FRIDAY EVENING AHEAD OF WARMER AIR.... A total of 0.8" of new snow fell at the summit on Friday evening between 5 and 7 PM with a melted precipitation total of 0.04". Temperatures climbed most of the night from a low of 30 during the late afternoon on Friday up to 37 at 7 AM this morning. The temperature has climbed to the mid 40s during the afternoon despite the AC and AS cloud cover. Snow cover remained at 6 inches early this morning, but it has dropped to less than 3.5" as of 1 PM. Station pressure is starting to go down at a pretty good pace ahead of a cold front expected later today. November will average a bit more that 1 degree below normal for temperature more than 2.5 inches above normal for precipitation, and about 5" above normal for snow fall.
