TEMPERATURE REACHES 60 DEGREES AS SOUTH WINDS GUST PAST 40 MPH.... TODAY'S RECORD IS SAFE AT 67 DEGREES! TAKE A LOOK AT THESE TOTAL MONTHLY TEMPERATURE DEPARTURES STARTING IN NOVEMBER.!!! SEASONAL HEATING DEGREE DAY TOTAL AT AN ALL TIME LOW...OVER 900 UNITS BELOW NORMAL... Temperatures soared up some five to six degrees per hour late this morning reaching 60 degrees just past 1 p.m. as south winds gusted to 43 MPH. Today will average close to 20 degrees WARMER THAN NORMAL and bring the total temperature departure for February up to over 160 degrees! During this amazingly record warm winter the total temperature departure for January was +268 degrees and for December it was +233 degrees and finally for November the total temperature departure was +149 degrees. These past four months have just been incredibly warm! The seasonal heating degree day total of 3558 units is an incredible NEW RECORD LOW NUMBER THIS SEASON TO DATE...the departure from normal since July 1st is MINUS 939 UNITS. We've not had time to check and see how far from the previous record this is but it could be over 200 less than previous record through the 25th of February.
