BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02186 WEDNESDAY AUGUST 28 2002 DISSCUSSION.....8/28/2002....11 A.M. Pleasant (temperature-wise) weather continues today with a stiff northeast wind in the 15-25mph range. Temperatures have struggled to reach the mid 60s here this morning under mainly overcast skies. Sun has been dimly visible all morning through the thin Alto-Stratus and Cirro-Stratus layers. Big question today is whether we have some significant rainfall on the way later this week? As always we'll have to just wait and see, but we could certainly use it with the monthly precipitation departure running at -1.82 inches through 8am this morning. Departure for the year is -3.44 inches. Bring on the rain! Note: KMQE (our ASOS) continues inoperative of most parameters. No time table on when it'll be repaired at the moment.
