BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02186 FRIDAY AUGUST 23 2002 DISSCUSSION....8/23/02 Another round of showers passed through the area last night accompanied with a cold front to bring .31 inches of rain here at Blue Hill. Observers from Hingham and Needham report .30 inches of rain fell in their area. Even with 3 of the last 4 days seeing rainfall, we still remain well below normal for both August and for the year. The morning the weather was terrible here at the Observatory. At 8 A.M. the visibility was less than 1/16 of a mile with fog, low clouds, and mist. The cloud cover and wind has helped to keep the temperature steady at 63F since 8 A.M. this morning. Just now at 12 Noon the temperature rose to 64.
