July 30-August 1, now a three day heat wave as our thermometer hit 90.7 degrees shortly after 2 p.m. The morning low was a very warm 72 degrees, but the record is 75 degrees in 1975. July averaged only 0.5 degree warmer than normal despite the fact that 7 days had 90-degree temperatures. Precipitation was about a half inch drier than normal. A peak gust of 79 MPH WNW was recorded on 7/15 during a severe thunderstorm. The gust was recorded on the Aerovane wind system.
