MILD AND VERY DRY NOVEMBER CONTINUES....+ 2 DEGREES... THIS NOW MAKES FOUR CONSECUTIVE MONTHS TO AVERAGE 2 TO 3.5 DEG. WARMER THAN NORMAL THRU 18 DAYS... RAINFALL ONLY 23% OF NORMAL FOR THE MONTH TO DATE... ON THIS DATE IN 1986 WE RECORDED 11.0 INCHES OF SNOW! Despite several days of colder-than-normal weather over the past week and our coldest daytime high temperature reading of the season to date, this month continues to average almost 2 degrees milder than normal... Just by comparison, October averaged 2.5 degrees milder than normal through the first 18 days and Sept. was also +2 degrees warmer; August 3.5 degrees on the warm side through the first 18 days.... But, even more importantly, the long dry spell continues with just 0.66 inch of precipitation to date as compared to the normal of 2.88 inches... A big November snowstorm occurred on this date in 1986 when 11.0 inches was recorded....
